HopgoodGanim Lawyers is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Wichlinski as a Partner in its Workplace and Employment practice, effective 19 May.
Matt joins HopgoodGanim from dedicated workplace law firm Kingston Reid, bringing more than 12 years’ experience advising employers and insurers across a wide range of complex workplace matters.
Managing Partner of HopgoodGanim, Luke Mountford, welcomed Matt’s appointment, noting it as a key step in the firm’s strategic growth.
“We’re delighted to welcome Matt Wichlinski to the partnership at HopgoodGanim. His experience in employment law and practical approach make him a valuable asset to our clients and our team. Matt’s appointment reflects our continued investment in attracting top talent to meet the evolving needs of our clients,” Luke said.
A specialist employment lawyer, Matt provides strategic and pragmatic counsel on enterprise agreements, employee misconduct, performance management, ill and injured workers, terminations, industrial disputes, and compliance with workplace laws.
He also assists clients in matters relating to unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination, wages and contractual disputes, and is experienced in conducting workplace investigations and delivering workplace training.
He’s a strong cultural fit and brings dedicated knowledge to an already high-performing team,” he added.
Matt will join HopgoodGanim’s leading Workplace and Employment team, led by Partner Andrew Tobin, which provides specialist advice to clients across all of the firm’s key client markets.
“Matt brings a wealth of experience in employment and workplace matters,” Andrew said. His appointment strengthens our employment expertise and will help us to deliver even greater results for our clients.”
The appointment of Matt follows a string of growth initiatives for HopgoodGanim in 2025, including the arrival of two energy practitioners in May, two specialist technology and procurement lawyers in March, and a leasing team of eight in February.
