Lea is a corporate and transactional lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial transactions, foreign investment regulation, capital markets and company secretarial matters. His practice supports clients across the full lifecycle of corporate transactions, from structuring and due diligence through to completion and post‑transaction advisory.
Lea advises domestic and international clients across the resources and agribusiness sectors, as well as businesses operating in logistics and freight forwarding, and businesses requiring ongoing corporate and commercial support. Lea was most recently in-house counsel for a metallurgical coal junior producer in the Bowen Basin and can advise on all commercial aspects relating to working capita and/or asset financing, haulage commercial arrangements and operational legal matters.
A key point of difference in Lea’s practice is his combination of private practice and in‑house legal experience, enabling him to deliver practical, commercially focused advice aligned with client and business objectives.
