Joe Ganim
Consultant

Joe founded the firm in 1974 with Paul Hopgood and headed our Dispute Resolution practice until his retirement from partnership in 2009. He continues to work with the firm as a Consultant.

/ Experience

With over 50 years’ experience conducting complex corporate and commercial litigious matters, including off shore, Joe has practised extensively in the Supreme Court of Queensland, the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia, as well as appearing as advocate before various Tribunals and Inquiries. Joe is also a Supreme Court Approved Mediator, a Notary Public and a Commissioner for Affidavits.

Joe served for a number of years as a member of the Litigation Reform Commission, Court Administration and Resource Division, chaired by a Supreme Court judge which reviewed all facets of court and litigation practice. He was appointed by the Queensland Law Society as a solicitor adviser to practitioners for advice on and defence to disciplinary proceedings brought by the Legal Services Commission, until his retirement from full time practice.
