Ivan is a Partner in our Property practice and has a special interest in retirement village development.

Ivan’s expertise includes the full range of commercial property services: acquisition, disposal, community titles schemes, retail, commercial and industrial leasing. Ivan has experience in complex development and operational leasing structures for a variety of projects.

Ivan also assists clients in the full cycle of retirement village development, including the acquisition, development, registration, on-sale and management of assets. Ivan’s experience also includes documenting and minimising risk in joint ventures arrangements and other complex structures, with respect to mixed-use developments, golf courses and sporting facilities.

He works with clients from a range of areas including banking, airports, leisure operators, shopping centre owners, institutional clients, fund managers, retirement village scheme operators, clubs and property developers.

Ivan has a special interest in co-location deals between retirement village operators and sporting clubs and has acted in most retirement village-golf club colocation projects in South East Queensland.

Having also worked in-house for one of the world’s leading diversified alternative investment firms, Ivan brings a commercial approach to transactions and the advice he provides clients.
