Jon is a Partner in our Dispute Resolution practice with extensive experience and a particular focus on litigating and resolving disputes in the property, insurance, professional regulation and sport sectors.
Jon offers experience across a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including disputes related to contracts, trusts, shareholders, partnerships and joint ventures. Jon also has extensive experience advising professional service firms, insurers and professional bodies in relation to professional negligence claims, complaints, regulatory investigations and prosecutions.
With a strong commercial grounding and a pragmatic manner, Jon partners with his clients to achieve the best possible strategic outcome for their business. Jon represents clients across a broad range of industries, including property, insurance, sport and professional regulation.
Jon has a keen interest in sports law, regularly acting for players/athletes, clubs and sporting bodies. Jon sits on a number of sports tribunals, including the National Sports Tribunal and the Single Member Tribunal of the National Basketball League. Jon is also a mediator for the QSport dispute resolution service.
Jon is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association and the Australian Professional Indemnity Group.
Most recently, Jon was included in The Best Lawyers™ Australia, 2022-2024 editions in the field of Litigation.
