Emily Ownsworth is an Associate in our Family and Relationship Law practice.
Emily assists with all Family Law matters and is an advisor who cares deeply, and who places great emphasis on ensuring her clients truly understand their options in order to be able to make an informed decision in often stressful or difficult circumstances.
Emily is a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association, the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland and the Young Professional Women’s Association.
Emily also volunteers at the Womens’ Legal Service and Caxton Street Legal Service, providing legal advice and preparation of relevant documents to low income and disadvantaged members of the community.
Emily holds qualifications in Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice as well as a qualified Justice of the Peace.
Emily is a Early Career Member on The Family Law Practitioners Association (FLPA) Board for 2022-2023 and was shortlisted as a finalist in Lawyers Weekly, 30 under 30 in Family Law, 2023-2024 and Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards 2023.
