HopgoodGanim Lawyers is proud to have advised Treeline Well Services (Treeline), a global provider on service rig solutions, on its expansion into Australia, marked by a long-term contract with Origin Energy.
The 10-year contract will see Treeline deliver five high-specification service rig packages to support Origin Energy’s upstream gas field operations for the Australian Pacific LNG (APLNG) project. As part of the expansion, all rigs will be designed and manufactured in Queensland, supporting local engineering, fabrication and supply chain businesses, while simultaneously creating new employment opportunities.
This significant milestone establishes Treeline’s Australian operations and forms part of the company’s broader strategy to build a long-term presence in Australia, as well as sharing expertise between the Canadian and Australian energy sectors.

HopgoodGanim advised Treeline throughout the whole transaction, supporting the establishment of its Australian operations and the contractual arrangements which allowed entry into the Australian market.
