Steven Hunwicks
Special Counsel

Steven is a Special Counsel in our Intellectual Property, Technology and Cyber Security practice. He is also the Head of HopgoodGanim’s Cyber Security practice.

/ Experience

With extensive experience in commercial and legal roles, focusing in the information and communications technology sector, Steven advises Australian business owners, government agencies, not-for-profits and international businesses on cyber security, privacy, data breach preparedness and incident response, IT contracting, technology projects, and intellectual property (IP) protection and commercialisation. 

He has experience in telecommunications leasing and land access arrangements, trade marks and copyright law, Agile software development and project contracting models. Steven also has a detailed understanding of the Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) framework and its implications for both government buyers and technology suppliers. 

Steven is a past board member and current advisor to the board of Project Management Institute (PMI) Queensland Chapter.
