HopgoodGanim’s Intellectual Property and Technology team advised For The Record (FTR) on their successful patent applications for Blockchain Verified Recordings in Australia and the United States.

The invention relates to a system and method for ensuring the integrity of a recording using blockchain technology. This provides a reliable way in which to independently verify that an electronic recording file is accurate and unaltered.
With the award of this patent, For The Record will be unique in offering this critical component of security to original source recordings utilised throughout the entire justice system.

The HopgoodGanim team of Director of Patents, Jonathan Lewis and Patent Scientist, Melanie Serafini worked with the FTR team to prepare, file and prosecute patent applications at the Australian and United States Patent Offices.

Jonathan congratulates FTR on their successful patent application and commented, “We are pleased to advise For The Record and work with their team to achieve a successful patent application for their Blockchain Verified Recording. This blockchain technology will ensure the highest level of integrity for courts and other government agencies."
