Exceptional outcomes

Cement and Concrete Aggregates Australia / We advised Cement Concrete and Aggregates Australia on impact of draft environmental legislation and policy including in relation to koala policy; air, noise and hazardous materials policy and changes to vegetation management.
Hymix / We acted for premium concrete manufacturer, Hymix in a Planning and Environment Court appeal against the Brisbane City Council’s refusal of its development application to facilitate the re-commissioning of a concrete batching and pre-cast facility established as a part of a State infrastructure project. The appeal involved multiple expert disciplines, with the Council raising flooding, water quality, acid sulphate soils, groundwater and aquatic ecology among other reasons for refusal. Ultimately the Court allowed the appeal and approved the development application.
Queensland Heritage Council  / We successfully represented the Queensland Heritage Council (through its secretariat the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection) in an appeal to the Planning and Environment Court by the Sisters of Mercy against the State heritage listing of St Patrick’s Convent at the Strand Townsville.
