HG Alert: Updated Fair Work Information Statement Released - 15 Jul 2010

An updated version of the Fair Work Information Statement was released yesterday.

This release coincides with the change to the high income threshold from $108,300 to $113,800.

Employers covered by the Fair Work Act 2009 are required to give a copy of the Statement to all new employees before, or as soon as practicable after, they start employment. An employer will contravene the National Employment Standards if they fail to do so, and significant penalties could be imposed.

The updated Statement can be downloaded from the Fair Work Ombudsman's website.
