Paul is the head of HopgoodGanim's Banking and Finance practice.

The head of HopgoodGanim’s Banking and Finance practice, Paul has over 30 years’ experience in banking and finance, insolvency and joint venture transactions.

Paul’s practice includes advising on commercial lending for banks and borrowing for corporate clients. He has extensive experience in structured property finance transactions, working closely with a number of leading financial institutions and property developers to design effective financial structures to fund significant property and commercial developments.

Paul also has particular expertise in the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 and the impact of personal property reform on businesses across Australia, from financiers to manufacturers, producers, suppliers, purchasers and users of goods and services across a variety of industries. He provides tailored advice to clients on how they can protect their interests, including the identification of security interests that should be registered on the PPS Register.

Paul is a member of the Banking and Financial Services Law Association and is recommended in Doyle’s Guide to Queensland Banking and Finance Lawyers, as well as named in the Financial Review - Best Lawyers in Australia - 2018, for Banking and Finance.
