Aaron advises his clients on a wide variety of litigation matters, including contract disputes, trade practices actions, property disputes, leasing disputes and mortgage disputes in the Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts. He has acted for and advised a wide range of clients, from small and large corporations to high wealth individuals.

Aaron holds qualifications in Laws and Information Technology (Distinction) from the Queensland University of Technology.

Areas of Practice

  • Acting for Eddy Groves in litigation against his ex-wife relating to guarantees for and dividends from their chain of ABC Childcare Centres.
  • Advising Australian Resource Management in regards to a claim by a local to its prospecting licence in the Solomon Islands that the local had ownership of the land, and the institution of an interlocutory injunction.
  • Advising Wanless Enviro Asset Management in relation to a dispute with a joint venture partner related to the development of a power station in Melbourne, which included claims of misleading conduct, breach of contract, constructive trust, arrears of rent and repayment of a debt.
  • Acting for Macarthur Minerals in respect of an application to the Supreme Court by one of its shareholders for access to books and records of the company.
  • Acting for Petroleum Nominees in a claim against Central Petroleum that it had acted oppressively and its directors had breached their directors' duties in respect of their conduct regarding an $11 million share placement.
  • Advising parties to joint ventures in relation to the breakdown of those joint ventures, including acting in proceedings in the Supreme and District Courts in respect of the termination of joint ventures and claims arising from the conduct of the joint ventures.
  • Acting in relation to various matters in the Supreme, District and Magistrates Court, as well as Courts in other states for both plaintiffs and defendants seeking, amongst other things, damages, injunctions and equitable relief.
  • Appearing in the Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts in relation to various contested and uncontested applications.
  • Advising landlords and tenants in relation to a wide range of disputes under leases, including Retail Shop Leases and commercial tenancies in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts as well as the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
  • Advising Newmarket Properties (associated with Reading Entertainment) and the Stockwell group of companies in relation to a large claim by tenants of a shopping centre in Brisbane in respect breach of contract and alleged misrepresentations made by the owner to induce the tenants to enter into an agreement for lease.
  • Acting for the owners of retirement villages in relation to claims made by residents regarding evictions, exit entitlements and other issues.
