Shauna specialises in complex property settlements (for both married and de facto couples) and parenting matters, and in particular relocation disputes.

Shauna holds qualifications in Laws (Hons) and Arts (Psychology) from Griffith University.  She is a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association.

Areas of Practice

  • Advising on a high wealth dispute in the Family Court that involved a net property pool of approximately $50 million within a complex corporate structure.
  • Advising on a property settlement that involved allegations of missing valuable chattels, and successfully applying for an ex parte order from the court to perform a premises search.
  • Advising on a financial agreement following the cessation of a short de facto relationship where there had been an increase in wealth during the relationship of approximately $15 million.
  • Advising on a lengthy Family Court dispute that involved a high wealth client, in circumstances where the majority of wealth available for distribution had been generated through the sale of a prominent second generation family business.
  • Advising third party respondents to a complex Family Court dispute that involved a multimillion dollar claim against the third party individuals and entities.
  • Advising on parenting disputes, including with respect to relocation issues.
