Tammy has extensive experience in commercial and retail property transactions, having advised on all aspects of the commercial property acquisition, leasing and disposal process.  Tammy has advised on the acquisition and disposal of significant, high value commercial office buildings and shopping centres as well as key Queensland tourism and marine assets.  She takes pride in her commercial focus and, working closely with our Private Enterprise and Tax team, she ensures that transactions are documented and completed in the most tax and cost effective manner possible.

Tammy has a particular interest in land resources and the sustainable use of those resources.  She has developed a loyal client base of agricultural land holders and is experienced in advising on the issues to be considered on the acquisition or disposal of rural assets, including water trading.   Tammy is also a Board member of the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s EnviroDevelopment rating program and has consulted on the last two technical standard reviews.

  • Representing the purchaser of the 107 lot Whisper Bay Resort, Airlie Beach.
  • Representing the purchaser of the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas Resort.
  • Representing the Heritage Pacific Group in the disposal of a number of commercial and retail centres across South East Queensland, including Upper Coomera Shopping Centre, Narangba Red Rooster Centre, Narangba Valley Shopping Centre and the West End Markets.
  • Representing the Anthony Barakat Property Group in acquisitions and disposals of various Brisbane CBD and fringe commercial properties.
  • Advising mortgagees, receivers and managers in the preparation of tender and contract documents and the subsequent disposal of a number of properties in South East Queensland, including the Belmont/Blunder Road Retail Plaza and the Big Pineapple tourist attraction.
  • Representing Visy in relation to a number of commercial acquisition, disposal and leasing transactions across Queensland.
  • Undertaking due diligence investigations and reporting to developers and resources companies on land tenure issues in the Gladstone region, including export terminal development and tenure.
  • Advising agricultural landowners on rural property issues including the transfer, subdivision and relocation of water rights.
  • Reporting to a key industry group on land access and tenure issues for coal seam gas and wind farm developments in Queensland.
