Bruce Humphrys began his legal career with HopgoodGanim in 1979.  He was appointed Managing Partner in 2001, and has subsequently led the firm through a successful period of growth and change, including recently building the business through national and international strategies.

Bruce is responsible for connecting the firm’s 280 people and for ensuring the cultural legacy created by our founding partners remains a strong and vibrant driving force of the firm.

Driven by the success he helps his team create, Bruce approaches his role as Managing Partner with a commitment to exceptionally high standards.  His personal philosophy is that results are assured if you apply your skills with integrity, and that anything short of this is a waste of time.

Bruce leads the firm with decisiveness and honesty, and is unapologetic in his dedication to see the firm, its people and its clients succeed.


 

Areas of Practice

Before his appointment to Managing Partner, Bruce was a partner of HopgoodGanim’s commercial property practice and was involved in many large property projects across South East Queensland. His experience in this area includes:

  • Advising Raptis Group on the site acquisitions for Raptis Plaza, Corporate Centre, Bundall Circle, Le Boulevarde, Forum, Paradise Avenue, Ephraim Island, Gemtec House, Mark Shopping Centre and Fisherman's Wharf.
  • Advising the Sunland Group on the site acquisitions for the development of Legends Hotel, Sun City and Somerset Gardens, and advising on the site acquisition and subsequent sale of residential units comprising the Carmel by the Sea development.
  • Advising the Interpacific Group on the site acquisition for the Couran Cove Resort development on South Stradbroke Island, and subsequently advising on titling and marketing of residential units within the resort.
  • Advising Baulderstone Hornibrook on the general structuring and titling of the Teneriffe Wharves development and the subsequent sale of residential units.
