Robyn advises clients on development applications, approvals and appeals, infrastructure charging, and environmental issues. She also assists with and manages appeals in the Planning and Environment Court, matters in the Land Court and judicial review in the Supreme Court.

Robyn holds qualifications in Education and Laws from the Queensland University of Technology. She is an active member of the Queensland Environmental Law Association and the Urban Development Institute of Australia. She also sits on the Queensland Environmental Law Association's Seminar Committee.

Areas of Practice

  • Advising in relation to poultry farming matters, including in respect of interpretation of conditions of a development approval and planning and compliance issues.
  • Advising local government about the ability to recover charges which were accidently omitted from an infrastructure charges notice.
  • Drafting a submission about a development application for an abattoir, including consideration of whether the proposed development conflicted with the planning scheme.
  • Acting on behalf of the Department of Transport and Main Roads in a number of appeals in the Planning and Environment Court.
  • Assisting with a Planning and Environment Court appeal for Boral Resources (Qld) Pty Ltd in respect of a proposed hard rock quarry on the Gold Coast. The project is a declared “coordinated project” and an approved “controlled action” under the Commonwealth EPBC Act. The appeal involves issues across a large number of disciplines and is set down for hearing in October and November 2016.
