Catherine has over ten years’ experience in personal injuries and insurance law. Having worked as both an in-house solicitor and as a WorkCover appointed panel solicitor, Catherine’s depth of experience and knowledge helps negotiate and resolve her clients’ disputes effectively and efficiently.

She regularly represents clients at negotiation conferences, mediation and in litigation.

From 2011 Catherine worked in-house for WorkCover Queensland, where she enjoyed a good working relationship with many employer groups. Between November 2013 and August 2016 Catherine was employed as an Associate with a workers compensation insurance firm.

Between 2003 and 2010 Catherine acted for a variety of mid-tier plaintiff firms. She has represented clients in relation to motor accident claims (including catastrophic injuries), public liability and workers' compensation claims.

This experience has helped shape Catherine into a specialist in workers’ compensation matters. With a strong belief in quality service delivery, Catherine aims to personalise her experience with her clients whilst ensuring they are represented to the best of her ability.

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Law and Masters of Law from Queensland University of Technology. 

Areas of Practice

  • Advising employers about liability and quantum issues;
  • Representing employers at compulsory conferences and mediation;
  • Assisting Counsel at Trial;
  • Drafting memorandums of advice in relation to liability and quantum issues, indemnity, and compliance;
  • Preparing interlocutory applications, notices of intention to defend and requests for further and better particulars;
  • Attending site inspections and witness interviews.
  • Preparing briefs for the purposes of independent medical examinations, including preparing detailed letters of instruction to the medical expert.
