HopgoodGanim named Gold Employer of Choice for second year in a row

7 April 2011

HopgoodGanim has been named a Gold Employer of Choice in a national survey of law firms by Australasian Legal Business (ALB) magazine for the second year in a row.

Managing Partner Bruce Humphrys says he is delighted that the firm has again been named one of the Australian legal industry's top employers.

"We're proud and excited to be recognised by our employees and the legal community for our commitment to supporting our employees and providing a great place to work."

Humphrys says that he believes the firm is known as an employer of choice because its lawyers have the opportunity to work for a premium firm and undertake exciting and challenging work for prestigious clients, while still being able to have a healthy work/life balance.

"We try to really support our people and enable them to have a satisfying work life, while still being able to have a life outside of work.

"A big part of our culture is our philosophy of collaboration and friendship, not only between employees of the firm but with clients and other stakeholders as well. I think this is an important factor in what makes HopgoodGanim a great place to work."

The annual ALB Employer of Choice survey asks lawyers to rate firms across six criteria of compensation and benefits, quality of work and clients, professional development and training, knowledge management and IT, work/life balance, and overall quality of employment brand.

The Gold Employer of Choice award was introduced in 2010 to single out the top firms in each market category.
