Benefits at HopgoodGanim

We offer a flexible working environment, health and wellbeing benefits, ongoing learning and development and an opportunity to actively support our local communities.

Flexibility

All employees are eligible for flexible working arrangements. We balance the need for flexibility with the commercial realities of running a successful law firm and offer part-time, job share and work from home arrangements on an individual basis to take into account personal circumstances.

Our people are also able to purchase additional annual leave and we offer a day of birthday leave each year.

Parental leave

HopgoodGanim also has in place a generous parental bonus scheme equivalent to up to 18 weeks' pay for eligible employees and budget relief for those legal practitioners who are a primary caregiver who return to work following a period of parental leave.

Health and wellbeing

We offer our people access to a number of health and wellbeing programs as we are genuinely committed to ensuring our team members remain mentally and physically well. These benefits include discounted gym memberships, subsidised health and fitness classes, free flu vaccinations, ergonomic assessments, in-house mental health and wellbeing seminars.

Ongoing learning and development

HopgoodGanim is committed to the professional development of all team members. We offer a comprehensive learning and development framework covering a range of important technical and soft skills, including people and leadership, business development and marketing, financial management and technology skills. We also run an in-house Continuing Legal Education program for legal practitioners to help them meet their continuing professional development point requirements. For those employees undertaking part-time study to gain relevant academic or vocational qualifications, we offer financial assistance and additional study leave for exam periods. Practical Legal Training is also provided for our graduates.

Community

Community partnerships are actively fostered and in addition to partnerships with The Salvation Army, Foodbank Queensland and YoungCare, we work with LawRight, The Caxton Legal Centre and Women’s Legal Service in Queensland to provide pro bono legal services. HopgoodGanim is a signatory to the Pro Bono Centre of Australia’s aspirational pro bono target.
