About Us

The partners and staff of HopgoodGanim actively foster community partnerships and are proud to provide financial, legal and volunteer support to a number of local and national charitable organisations.

The Big Issue AustraliaThe Big Issue Australia

HopgoodGanim was proud to support The Big Issue Australia's Brisbane office Christmas party 2014.  The HopgoodGanim team donated 40 gift bags for the vendors who are based in and around Brisbane, bringing some Christmas cheer to those in need.

Lord Mayor's Business Awards

We were thrilled to be honored at the 2014 Lord Mayor’s Business Awards with a Special Mention in the Award for Corporate Citizenship.

HopgoodGanim places a strong emphasis on core internal values such as care and collaboration, and this recognition shines a light on the extension of these values into the local community.

We extend our congratulations to the winners and all the other finalists.

Foodbank Queensland

HopgoodGanim has been a proud Corporate Partner of Foodbank Queensland for over 12 years.

Foodbank is a non-denominational, charitable organisation which sources donated and surplus food from the food and grocery industry to distribute to welfare and community agencies that provide food assistance to people in need. The organisation helps around 300 welfare agencies to feed around 80,000 needy Queenslanders each week.

The Salvation Army

HopgoodGanim has provided support to The Salvation Army through our staff volunteering program and the Red Shield Appeal for many years. We continue to actively support the Red Shield Doorknock Appeal, of which partner Michael Hansel is currently chair, through donations and attendance at the annual Appeal Breakfast.

The Salvation Army offers a variety of community support services, ranging from emergency relief and crisis accommodation to assistance and support for youth, those with addictions, the homeless, the disabled and the aged.

HopgoodGanim supports Youngcare and has been a major sponsor of its Ribs & Red Lunch for 6 years.

There are thousands of young Australians with full-time care needs living in aged care simply because there are few alternatives, and many more being cared for at home by family and friends with limited support. Youngcare is committed to raising awareness of this issue across Australia to drive change and create real choices for young Australians and their families.

La Boite Theatre Company

HopgoodGanim is proud to support La Boite Theatre Company and is featured on the Wall of Light, a permanent feature that honors La Boite's top 100 donors.

La Boite is one of Australia’s leading theatre companies, and aims to produce exhilarating theatre that is alive to the present, extends and inspires artists, and invigorates the hearts and minds of audiences.

Variety WA

HopgoodGanim is proud to support Variety WA and was a diamond sponsor of the Variety WA Ball.

Variety WA provides practical help to Western Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs. In 2012, Variety WA impacted the lives of more than 48,000 children in need through equipment, special experiences and programs.

Queensland Brain Institute

HopgoodGanim has been a proud supporter of the Queensland Brain Institute for a number of years.

Researchers at the Queensland Brain Institute work to discover the mechanisms that underlie the ability of the adult brain to generate new nerve cells and form functional connections. Advances in this area will enable the development of new therapeutics to treat mental and neurological diseases, which account for 45 percent of the disease burden in Australia.

Local charities

In addition to our major corporate partnerships, HopgoodGanim remains connected with the local community through ongoing support of various charitable organisations.

A number of our solicitors volunteer their time to the Women’s Legal Service, a community legal centre that provides free legal advice and information to women in Queensland.

Staff volunteering

HopgoodGanim’s staff volunteering program gives every permanent staff member the opportunity to take one day of paid leave per year to volunteer for an approved charitable organisation. This initiative gives our staff the chance to support and personally contribute to the great work these organisations do in the community.
