Planning Issues for Mining Camps

HopgoodGanim, successfully represented QR Ltd in an application brought by Mac Services Group Limited (Mac), who were seeking declaratory relief from the Planning and Environment Court and an injunction to stop QR from operating an accommodation facility to temporarily house QR employees and contractors on land in Moranbah.  Given the scale of the resources boom in the Bowen Basin, accommodation facilities to house workers in the mining and associated infrastructure industries are at a premium and re-use of existing facilities are important.
