Jonathan is an integral part of HopgoodGanim's Resources and Energy practice and is one of Australia's leading (Band 1) native title lawyers, as ranked by Chambers Global for the past five consecutive years and Doyle's Guide to Australian Leading Lawyers.
With an impressive academic resume, Jonathan has authored numerous publications that have shaped Australia's native title landscape. He recently updated the Cultural Heritage chapters for the prestigious Halsbury's Laws of Australia 2009/2010. He has also held a number of academic positions in addition to his work in the legal profession.
Jonathan applies his extensive resources and native title experience to oil and gas transactions, infrastructure developments, joint venture arrangements, and asset and share sales and acquisitions across Australia and internationally. He has negotiated over 50 Indigenous Land Use Agreements, Right to Negotiate Agreements and Cultural Heritage Management Plans.
