Bruce Humphrys began his legal career with HopgoodGanim in 1979. He was appointed Managing Partner in 2001, and has subsequently led the firm through a successful period of growth and change.
Bruce is responsible for connecting the firm’s 200 people and for ensuring the cultural legacy created by our founding partners remains a strong and vibrant driving force of the firm.
Driven by the success he helps his team create, Bruce approaches his role as Managing Partner with a commitment to exceptionally high standards. His personal philosophy is that results are assured if you apply your skills with integrity, and that anything short of this is a waste of time. It is this tenacity that has seen the firm achieve consecutive BRW-St George Client Choice awards, Queensland Law Society Employer of Choice awards, and be named as Australia’s fastest growing law firm in 2008 and 2009.
Before his appointment as Managing Partner, Bruce was a partner of HopgoodGanim’s commercial property practice and was involved in many large south east Queensland property projects, including several Raptis Group developments, the development of Couran Cove Resort and Baulderstone Hornibrook's Teneriffe Wharves development.
Bruce leads the firm with decisiveness and honesty, and is unapologetic in his dedication to see the firm, its people and its clients succeed.
