Andrew Tobin leads the firm’s Industrial and Employment Law practice.
He specialises in all aspects of industrial and employment law, equal opportunity and discrimination law, safety and privacy. Educated at the Queensland University of Technology, Andrew holds a Bachelor of Laws, is a current member of the Australian and Queensland Industrial Relations Societies and is an approved mediator with the Queensland Law Society.
Andrew adopts a number of success strategies when managing workplace relations issues for clients but is a passionate advocate for proactive management of the ‘people factor’ in the workplace as a core feature of any successful enterprise. He believes first and foremost in the need for appropriate workplace structures and systems.
From front-end bargaining and agreement composition to dispute management, Andrew is committed to connecting with clients to obtain a depth of understanding that will ensure, as a team, they develop the most effective strategy to manage issues to successful outcomes.
Andrew is an accomplished speaker and writer in the workplace relations arena, having published and presented a very wide range of material on various aspects of workplace relations law. He is a current contributor to National Workplace Relations, a Thomson Lawbook Co publication.
