Peter is a specialist liquor licensing consultant with an extensive and detailed knowledge of the legislation that frames the hospitality sector.
Before joining HopgoodGanim, Peter worked as the manager of the Licensing Administration Unit of the Liquor Licensing Division, overseeing the processing and approval of a variety of liquor licensing applications. He also led and coordinated the review of the Liquor Act in 1994, recommending changes that could be made to better address the problems facing clients and the industry, and to expedite the administration of the relevant provisions of the Act.
Peter is a very knowledgeable and experienced operator in the hospitality sector, with over 40 years of industry experience. His work at the Liquor Licensing Division, and now advising HopgoodGanim clients, has had a direct influence on many of the past and current issues affecting the hospitality sector. His experience has proved invaluable in helping clients to determine and resolve their liquor licensing requirements.

Peter also prepares management agreements and risk assessed management plans for licensees to help them operate their licensed premises, particularly in regard to responsible hospitality provisions. He has represented clients at objections conferences convened by the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, where applicants and objectors discuss key issues affecting the outcome of the application.
