Olivia advises clients on the development approvals process, project due diligence, the interpretation of planning schemes and related legislation, compensation issues, and environmental compliance and enforcement issues.
Olivia also assists with the conduct of litigation in the Planning and Environment Court, and helps clients formulate strategies to negotiate and secure approvals and other positive outcomes outside of Court.
Olivia has acted as a legal advisor on several large and complex development applications across Queensland, particularly in pre-lodgement negotiations and negotiating acceptable conditions of approval. She has also represented clients in appeals and originating applications in the Planning and Environment Court.
Olivia joined HopgoodGanim in early 2008 and was previously an Associate to Her Honour Chief Judge Wolfe of the District Court of Queensland.
