Hayden is a key member of HopgoodGanim's Intellectual Property and Technology practice, with additional experience advising on Competition and Trade Practices, and Litigation and Dispute Resolution matters.
Hayden holds qualifications in Laws and Information Technology, and gained first hand experience in software development when he co-developed software for the Queensland Department of Primary Industries.
Hayden has extensive knowledge in all aspects of technology commercialisation, including technology licensing, IT procurement, services contracts, GITC, software development agreements, non-disclosure agreements and domain name disputes and advices. Hayden's expertise in intellectual property matters includes copyright, trade marks, patents, plant breeder's rights, privacy and music licensing.
Before joining HopgoodGanim, Hayden spent some time as a researcher at the Queensland University of Technology, where he co-authored a number of journal articles on intellectual property and new technologies.
Hayden is currently a member of the Queensland Management Committee for the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand, and was previously a member of their Trans-Tasman Committee.
