Acting for Meridien Retirement Living in the cessation of its four-year retirement sector joint venture with AMP Capital. The transaction saw an investment bank provide capital by way of mezzanine and convertible facilities, allowing Meridien's existing debt facilities to be refinanced.

Acting for Norton Gold Fields in connection with closing its gold hedge arrangements and issuing promissory and convertible notes worth $135 million. The transaction involved negotiating with interested parties located in a number of jurisdictions worldwide, including major note holder Lehman Brothers.
