Social networking sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace continue to affect the way in which people interact and businesses operate. These websites have developed into multi-billion dollar enterprises and form an essential part of the modern digital era.

While the success and popularity of social networking sites is clear, associated legal issues, including privacy, defamation, copyright and spam, lie at the very core of these sites and are far from settled.

In this informative seminar, hosted in conjunction with the ACS, Senior Associate Michael Morris and Solicitor Hayden Delaney from HopgoodGanim’s Intellectual Property and Technology team outlined and explained the importance of some of these pressing legal issues.
