The Sustainable Planning (Housing Affordability and Infrastructure Charges Reform) Amendment Bill 2011 was introduced into Parliament in May and received assent on 6 June 2011. The Act represents the culmination of investigations undertaken by the State Government's Infrastructure Charges Taskforce in relation to Queensland's local government infrastructure planning and funding framework.Â

- An overview of the reform package - the Amendment Act and State Planning Regulatory Provision;
- Implementation of the reform package - the approaches of Brisbane City Council and the Gold Coast City Council.
